Guided visit to Jardim Botânico da Ajuda – A 250 year old heritage

Get acquainted with the Jardim Botânico da Ajuda, a heritage with 250 years of age. The Jardim was created in 1768 and it’s the first Portuguese botanical garden. The story behind this garden starts after the 1755 earthquake, with naturalist Domingos Vandelli (1735-1816) and by request of Marquês de Pombal (1699-1782). The garden has been under the tutelage of the Universidade de Lisboa’s Instituto Superior de Agronomia since 1910.

Price: € 7,00 Euros (Free for children under 12 but with the need for reservation)

Dates (guided tours): October 27th and November 2nd, 3rd

Timetable: 3:00 pm

Duration: 1:30 hours
